We have lift off!

This has been a while in the making, but the website is now fully functional. Getting the time to work on this has been a task, that’s for sure and I know how important having a website is for an artist. That said, finding the time to put drawing aside and get the thing running certainly took some effort. Now that it’s done, however it should be easier to keep up (hopefully).

So? What am I planing with this site? Well, lots actually. This will be the primary location for finished art, and news updates from me. Of course there’s always my social media platforms that will be updated too, but now that this site is up I’ll be able to use sites like Instagram for progress updates and some behind the scenes shots. Once things start to gel and get into a routine I’ll also be breaking out a store for some fun merch like prints and t-shirts. Ultimately though, the goal of this site will be not only to showcase my artwork, but also it will be the initial place that I host web comics featuring my original characters!

As a side note before I close this post out, I just want to address one more thing. Part of the reason for the name of my site is I wanted to have videos of me drawing (it is called SEE Shep Draw for a reason) but there haven’t been nearly as many of those videos as I would like. That unfortunately will probably continue thanks to new YouTube policies that will be launching next year. I’m going to look into how those new policies will impact my own channel and see what the proper course of action will be from there. Given that, I also will be looking into Twitch, Instagram TV, and other YouTube alternatives to see if I want to either replace YouTube or use some of them in addition.

Thanks for letting me ramble! Until next time, it’s back to the drawing board for me!
